India - TV Today chooses Vizrt graphics again
Bergen, Norway, March 30, 2004 - Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime
Standard: VIZ), the worlds leading real-time 3D graphics system for
TV, announced today the purchase by India's TV Today network for
two more virtual reality studio sets and other real-time broadcast
graphic systems.
TV Today Network, owners of Aaj Tak, the most watched TV news
channel in India, and the English-language channel Headlines
Today, has ordered several new Vizrt graphics systems to enhance
their top position in news visualization.
The new systems will help the TV Today Network lift visualization of
news to another level. The new plan will use some of the newest and
most advanced real-time graphics components from Vizrt.
India is a highly competitive television market and it is clear that the
quality of graphics, and investment in channel presentation has paid
dividends for the newer Indian channels in gaining audience share at
the expense of their competitors less modern style.
2004 is election year in India and some of the Vizrt technology will be
shown for the first time in this environment. The new installations will
be carried out during 2004.
