Their unique product, Dynamic Network Abstraction (DNA), creates a real-time, virtual representation of an actual network, enabling easier management of complex networks that often include multiple domains and equipment from multiple vendors.

STAR Ventures led Sheer’s Series B round of financing in May 2004. Other top-tier investors include Jerusalem Venture Partners and JK&B Capital. The company was acquired by Cisco Systems in July 2005 for $100M.
