The company's solution optimizes the performance of an organization's infrastructure by detecting and correcting root causes of performance degradation. STAR was one of Precise Software's initial supporters, investing in the company's Series A financing round (6/96). Star also participated in subsequent rounds of financing across the next three years, until 1999, and brought the Israeli VCs, Gemini, JVP and Mofet on board as well. Precise went public on Nasdaq in June 2000 at a valuation of US $339M. In November 2000, the company's secondary offering on Nasdaq valued it at US $578M. STAR invested US $4.2M in total and realized proceeds of US $66.3M (multiple of 15.8, IRR of 115% p.a.) |
