Creo, made its name in the development of advanced solutions for the Printed Circuit Board industry, based on thermal technology. Creo has been instrumental in revolutionizing the graphic arts industry over the last ten years, and is responsible in many ways for the widespread adoption of digital workflow and computer-to-plate imaging.

STAR was a lead investor in Creo’s Series A financing round in April 1994 with a total investment of $3.8M. Creo’s Initial Public Offering in July 1999 resulted in realized proceeds of $30.7M (multiple of 8.0 IRR 35%). Creo was acquired by Eastman Kodak Company for $1B in 2005.
