Cable TV chose Vizrt for Hong Kong elections

Bergen, Norway, September 27, 2004 - Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime Standard: VIZ), has been chosen by Cable TV, Hong Kong's only cable operator, for the up-to-date coverage of the Chinese territory's legislative election. The voting for the 60 council seats, that took place on September 12, naturally enjoyed highest attention inside and outside Hong Kong. Cable TV therefore invested a significant amount in the upgrade of its graphic systems.

For the coverage of the election Cable TV purchased a broadcast graphics system that consists of two viz|engines, a viz|artist and viz content pilot server among others.

Hong Kong Cable currently produces over 10,000 hours of programming a year, which is the largest television program producer in Hong Kong. Throughout the years, it has successfully established a leading position in News, Movies and Sports television programming and will continue to introduce innovative local and international programs in order to bring more choices to viewers. The company has been a client of Vizrt since the beginning of the year 2000.
