Denmark's DR becomes Vizrt's largest customer in Northern Europe
Vizrt wins another significant viz|trio contract and forms a strategic development partnership with DR
Bergen, Norway, August 16, 2004. Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime
Standard: VIZ), announced today, that it has been selected by Danish
Broadcasting Cooperation DR as the exclusive supplier of CG
systems for its multi-million dollar, new all-digital facility. DR is the
country's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise and public
television network, providing two channels of programming. The
contract makes DR Vizrt's largest customer in Northern Europe.
DR purchased multiple viz|trio CG systems for its newsrooms. The
equipment will be installed within the new facility named "DR City,"
set for completion in 2006. DR City will be one of the most advanced
television production facilities in Europe.
Vizrt has also been asked by Denmark Radio to form a strategic
partnership by assisting them in developing the media archiving set
up for the new facility. Vizrt will be one of a handful of vendors creating
the data interface protocol for the equipment within DR City.
In addition to winning the CG tender, DR has signed up for multiple
clients of the other viz software systems such as viz|content pilot,
viz|artist etc. solidifying the standardization on viz graphics software
and underlining the strength of Vizrt's complete graphics solution.
